December, 2000 Prayer Letter

Hello Friends.
Our family wants to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Our prayer is that the love of God is once again remembered through this celebration of the birth of His Dear Son and that this next year will be filled with God's richest blessings and the desire to serve Him more.
Lily and I were privileged to have visited Bolivia for 6 weeks during the months of September and October. It was wonderful to be able to see Lily's family again and to visit with friends we have there. God really confirmed our desire to serve Him there and we returned to Canada with a greater passion to reach the "unreached" of Bolivia.
Our support level increased about 15 % during the time we were in Bolivia and we are very thankful to the Lord for His provision. We would like to take this opportunity to share with you what we are trusting the Lord with so that we will be able to return to Bolivia full time within the next month or two:

  1. Please pray that God will touch the hearts of individuals and churches to join our support team through their prayers and financial support. We are short about $1000.00 Cdn to be able to leave for Bolivia. Thank God for how He has provided so far!
  2. We are investigating the option of buying an ATV four wheeler to take to Bolivia. We believe that this will be very useful in our discipleship efforts in the rugged terrain of the Andes Mountains. If you have any information about one for sale please contact us!
  3. Please pray for a speedy reply to Lily's citizenship application.

We are so thankful to God for how He is providing and touching the hearts of His people at all the right times. Thank you to all who have been praying and giving to the ministry that God has placed on our hearts.
Only through Him,

Greg and Lily Muir

Hi! This letter is committed to our prayer support. We would love to hear from you if you want to be involved in supporting us in this way.
Please we are looking for a team of people committed to pray for us and for the Quechua people whenever they are able to: Once a day, Once a week or whenever Greg and Lily Muir or the Quechua of Bolivia come to mind. We believe in prayer like we believe you need air to breath and prayer really does work. God is at work right now all over our world answering the prayers of the saints and rewarding the prayers of sinners with eternal life and forgiveness of sin. At this point we would ask that you be praying hard for the following.
Prayer requests as of Sunday, August 27, 2000.

We thank you for this ministry of prayer. Never for a minute think that it is a lesser ministry. Prayer to our Father in Heaven is powerful and is possible through the blood of Jesus Christ.
"Therefore brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,"
Hebrews 10:19

Only through Him,

Greg and Lily Muir

May, 2000
Dear Friends,
Spring has Sprung! Even though there still is an odd flurry in the air, winter has pretty much left us. This was Lily's third winter in Canada and she is a survivor. Praise the Lord there is life after winter!
We thank God for all those who have decided to join us in reaching the Quechua of Bolivia through:
                1. lifting up the ministry and our family in prayer to God,
                2. one time donations to the ministry and/or
                3. becoming a monthly supporter of the ministry amongst the Quechua.
Diwspagarasunki (God will bless you)!

The last month was extremely busy for us and we thank the Lord for this. Here are a few of the things we were involved in:
~> We had the priviledge of attending Leadership Seminars by Walk Through The Bible at Rothesay Baptist Church. Special Thanks to our home church for making it possible.
~> The month of April took us to two Mission's Conferences. One was in Skowhegan, ME and the other in Fielding, NB. Both were a blessing to our family and ministry.
~> Lily has finished her classes at NBBI. She studied Hermaneutics and Theology II and the Lord enabled her to do well in both.

We would like to ask you to pray with us in a six areas.
Please pray for:
        1. the Quechua people of Bolivia, that the Holy Spirit will soften their hearts to the Truth.
        2. Bolivia, that God will work in the hearts of its leaders, namely the president,
            Hugo Banzer.
        3. Greg, as he prepares messages and is involved in the Internship at People's Church.
        4. Lily, as she looks after our home and is very busy with Patrick.
        5. Patrick, as he turns 2 years old on May 21!
        6. a Team of churches and individuals to stand with us in prayer and financial giving.

We thank the Lord for what He is doing in our lives and how He is faithful to provide all we need. Our prayer is that God will continue to provide and prepare us for our goal departure date in August of this year.

Only through His Strength,

Greg and Lily Muir
