Hello Friends,
We have arrived in Bolivia and are settling in quite well. We are thankful to the Lord for all that He did to give us a safe trip and a smooth arrival. We had no problems whatsoever as we traveled through airports, stayed in Miami over night and as we went through immigration and customs in Bolivia. All of our bags reached Cochabamba, Bolivia without any problems, except for a rip in one of our suitcases. We want to express our thanks also to the Team of men from New Brunswick that helped bring the bags from Canada. This helped us out immensely!
Upon arrival, I traveled to Pocoata with my Dad's Team to help put a roof on a Church. It was a great week of fellowship with the Christians of the Town and a great opportunity to make new friendships. The roof was completed but most importantly, we had numerous occasions to share God's Love and to share from God's Word with the folks of Pocoata. We met two Bolivia Missionaries there who are involved in Leadership Training, Evangelization and Medical work in the countryside. Pray that the Work of the Lord will go forward in the countryside of Bolivia.
My Quechua Language classes are going great and I am excited at the near possibility of speaking with those who speak this wonderful language very soon. Please pray for my Tutor, as she is unsaved and I have had opportunities to share with her. Her name is Tina.
Well, Lily and Patrick will be traveling to Canada on May 8th and 9th. The purpose of their trip is so Lily will be able to write the Exam for her Canadian Citizenship and attend the Ceremony on May 15th. We know that many of you have been praying for this and we are very thankful. It just so happens that the day we left Canada to come to Bolivia, the Citizenship Office called and said Lily was eligible for her Citizenship. It was all in the Lord's timing and so we continue to trust Him.
Thank you so much for your continued interest in us as a family and in the ministry that God has called us to here. We continue forward in His strength through your prayers and support.

Greetings Friends,

We are so happy to be writing this letter and to be able to share with you folks how God has been providing lately. It is also a great joy to tell you that we are on our way to Bolivia! We will begin our first term on the Mission field during the month of March. It was in January that Lily and I were praying and decided that we wanted to set a date in March, 2001 and trust God with departing then. Even though we are still short on our monthly support, we are trusting God to provide what is needed. |

God has taught us a lot about faith in Him over the past years and especially during the last few months. We praise God for how He has been working and answering prayer. We had asked you to pray for:
- Lily's Citizenship. We have heard back from them. It will not be possible to obtain the Citizenship at this time but they will issue a Returning Resident Permit for the next couple of years so it will be no problem to travel back and forth.
- The Purchase of an ATV. It has been purchased and we want to thank all of those who took part in helping to buy it. We praise the Lord for how He provided everything, including helmets, spare parts, and the shipping to Bolivia. Thank you Lord!
We are thankful to all those who support the Ministry in Bolivia through their prayers and finances. Our Departure Expenses have been covered through your one time gifts and so we would ask you to consider designating your one time gifts from now onward to the purchase of a Four Wheel Drive Vehicle. This can be done by noting it on a separate piece of paper and including it with a cheque made out to PIONEERS.
