Dear Friends,

We want to give a heartfelt greeting to all of you in this start of a new year. You have given, prayed for and served alongside of us by faith during the year 2005. Thank you so very much for everyone's involvement in our ministry and family so that we might be used of God in the mission of reaching the Quechua People with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Praise God for all He accomplished in 2005
·God has provided for our needs through the gifts of His People. Even though we are still $400 short per month of our monthly support, God provides in great ways. Praise God for His provision of $100 per month needed support!

·Praise God for the two short term teams that took solar radios to Bolivia so that many Quechua families could have a chance to hear the Word of God. Our partnership with Galcom International made it possible to take 1600 radios to Bolivia in 2005.

·Praise God for the great schooling for our Boys while here in Canada. Both enjoy school very much and are growing up in leaps and bounds! We thank God for the Somerville Christian Academy and the JOY Preschool. May God bless them!

·We thank the Lord for our Bolivian and Missionary Co-workers who continue to strategically work amongst the Quechua People to see the existing church strengthened and new, healthy churches planted with God's help.

·We were able to visit 12 churches and update the folks on the ministry in Bolivia. We thank God for renewed contacts and for being able to minister and be ministered to. Praise the Lord for continued safety on the roads.

Where there is no VISION
The people PERISH.
Proverbs 29:18

God is so good to all of us. We thank Him for His grace in our lives because without it, none of this would have been possible. We would ask for your Continued Prayers for the following items:
    · Spiritual growth in all of us. Patrick is seeking to grow closer to Jesus!
    · Lily's studies at Bible School. She will begin a new course in February.
    · The $400 short fall in our monthly support needed for effective ministry.
    · A productive second half to our furlough with still several churches to visit and goals to accomplish before we return to Bolivia in June.
    · Specific health and dental needs of our family.
    · Pray for Bolivia during this time of political change. It has a new President.

Thank you and may God bless each and everyone of you throughout this new year.

A Financial Update for Greg and Lily Muir
February 15, 2006
Dear Friends,

Warm greetings to everyone in the month of February! We want to take this opportunity to give you a financial update on how things are in our support account with PIONEERS Canada. Some maintenance needs to be done on our account at the Mission Headquarters. The Mission does a great job of managing the funds that come in so that we receive our monthly salary. During the last couple of months, due to increasing costs and the added costs of furlough, our account needs a “BOOST.” Here are some ideas of where some one-time gifts are needed right now.

  • Our Account at the Mission
    $1000 CDN is urgently needed
to bring our account up to par.

  •   Return Plane Tickets
In June we will fly back to Bolivia to begin our Second Term. We have the funds in our account to pay for one of the four plane tickets needed. We have been putting funds aside with this in mind. We are asking for your help to raise the funds for 3 more tickets costing $1000 CDN each (total of $3000 needed for tickets).

We have been functioning on about 80 per cent of our minimum support for the last 3 years. We are praying that God will supply the $400 CDN that is still needed each month to bring us up to the minimum support level. Praise God for a $100 increase in monthly support! God has been so gracious and so faithful to us over the past number of years and we continue to trust Him to supply all our needs.

We are so thankful for those of you who already give faithfully. We do not want to place an extra burden on anyone but we want to let God's people know our needs. Our prayer is that God will touch hearts with the desire to give so that these needs will be met. Would you please prayerfully consider how God may use you to give our account a “BOOST” that we may end our furlough on a positive note financially? Gifts and donations can be sent to PIONEERS for a tax deductible receipt. Make sure you specify on a separate piece of paper which of the needs you would like to help with.

    With a Thankful Heart,

    Greg and Lily Muir

Dear Faithful Friends of the Ministry,

It is with great delight that we write you this letter. We have been able to see the Lord work in amazing ways. It is God who has been faithful to us. Isn't He wonderful? May all honour and glory be given to His name.

We have been encouraged and overjoyed at the response of God's people to our needs at this time. God is so good to all of us. Through you He provided for our tickets and for the short fall in our account. Thank you so much to all who prayed and gave. Thank you for being sensitive to God's call on your life during the time of our need. Because we still do not have our full monthly support, your one time gifts are really appreciated. We are still about $150 short per month.

The date of our return to Bolivia has been set for June 16th. We will take the bus from Houlton, Maine to Boston, Mass. and then catch a plane from there. It is hard to believe that it has already been almost a year since we arrived in Canada for our furlough. We praise God for this time of refreshment and for the growth that we all experienced in our lives.

We are excited to get back to Bolivia and continue the ministry amongst the Quechua People. We will be moving from the city of Cochabamba where we spent our first term to the city of Sucre, some 8 hours away. We are excited about the great things that the Lord has for us in Sucre with the Quechua People there.

    Please pray:
    1. That we will finish our furlough well.
    2. That we will transition well back to Bolivia and find suitable housing in the city of Sucre.
    3. For continued openness to the Gospel for the Quechua People.
    4. For our monthly support needs ($150/month).

    Please Thank God with us:
    1. For His continued provision. Our tickets have been paid for and other gifts received!!!
    2. For the newest members of our Support Team.
    3. For a profitable furlough year and God's protection and care during travels.

Thank you for your partnership. We will continue to do our best at communication and we look forward to hearing from you folks also. Our address is at the bottom of this letter and do not forget to check out our webpage for periodic updates. May God truly bless you all!

    In the King's service,

    Dear Faithful Friends

It has been a while since we have been able to communicate with you. We are encouraged with what the Lord is doing in and through us here in Sucre and we thank you for your part in this ministry. Thank you for your prayers on our behalf and for your financial gifts. May God always be glorified!

We have made the transition from the city of Cochabamba to Sucre and we are enjoying this new city. What a beautiful place filled with wonderful people. Both Patrick and Andres began school in September. Both have made new friends at school and in the neighbourhood where we live. Lily has the opportunity to teach Social Studies and Science to the children there. She is teaching them about Canada! The children are from Bolivia, England, the USA, Australia and Canada.

You were praying about a home here in Sucre and God wonderfully answered those prayers with the kind of home we wanted. Thank you Lord! God knows our needs and gives us all accordingly.

We have been extremely busy since the day we arrived in Sucre. My father, Alex Muir, brought a team of folks from Canada to distribute little solar powered radios in the month of August. Before the team's arrival, we had to prepare for this team and visit the areas of distribution. Thank the Lord, the team was able to distribute 500 radios to both Christian and Non-Christian Quechua folks in three remote areas of Bolivia. Now, our job is to follow-up the distribution in these three areas with further teaching of God's Word and answering questions. Our prayer is that as the folks listen to their radios, the Spirit will spark an interest to learn more about God's free gift of salvation. Pray that God will be working in the hearts of those who will hear the Gospel through the radios.

The Lord has also provided a church for us to attend and to minister in here in Sucre. We are working on helping the church leadership develop a ministry to the Quechua speaking members and develop an outreach ministry for the many Quechua people that live around the church. Please be praying for the “Christ is Alive Baptist Church” in Sucre Bolivia.

Bolivia continues to experience political problems even after the change of government. Please continue to pray for Bolivia's President and that the people of the land will seek salvation and security in the Lord and not in governments or revolutions.

It is always a pleasure to be able to write you and inform you on what God is doing here in Bolivia. One sheet of paper is never enough to tell you all the stories and testimonies of how great our God is. May He bless each household and each individual.

    In His service,
    Greg and Lily Muir
