I
ntroduction of
Greg and Lily Muir - PIONEERS Appointees to Bolivia

Greg was born in Orangeville, Ontario to Alex and Judy Muir. He was raised in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 5. He attended church and other church functions all of his life but really began to understand what his salvation was all about at the age of 16. Upon graduating from Highschool, Greg went to the University of New Brunswick. During his second year he was sure that God had other plans and so he withdrew and enrolled at New Brunswick Bible Institute. Greg's interest in missions was sparked at an early age but it was not until a short term trip to Bolivia in 1994 that he felt God's call to fulltime service overseas.

Lily was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia to Domingo and Daria Cossio. She was raised in a Christian home and accepted the Lord as personal Saviour at an early age. Her greatest example of missions was through her mother, who was involved in planting a church in the mountains of Bolivia. Lily is a Physiotherapist by profession and would be thrilled for God to use this as a tool to help the Quechua and as an opportunity to share Christ's love.

    Pre-Field Ministry

Greg and Lily are better preparing themselves for ministry in Bolivia by being involved in ministry as much as possible before leaving for the field. Over the summer they were involved in preaching and teaching in churches and speaking at a teen camp. During the time before leaving for the field, Greg will be working closely with his home church and Pastor. He will also be working part-time to supplement their income.

    Field Ministry

Both Greg and Lily have lived in Bolivia (Greg, 2years and Lily, 26 years) and are looking forward to returning in August of 2000. Their first task will be to learn the Quechua language, as both are already fluent in Spanish. They will join the already existing team of Quechua church planters and be involved in evangelism and discipleship with the goal of seeing an indigenous church planted amongst the Quechua people of Bolivia.
